Former US Lawmaker: War Profitable for American Military Industries

A former U.S. congressional representative has stated that war is a lucrative business for American military industries, fueling constant conflict and weapons development. She highlighted the strategic use of older ammunition to justify the purchase of new military hardware manufactured by defense contractors.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former U.S. congressional representative, speaking to TASS news agency regarding provocations against Iran and statements by U.S. government leaders about their intention to attack Cuba, said: “It seems wars never end. This is the feeling we have. Because war is business. This is a bitter truth.”

She added: “I learned this from years of working in Washington. I realized that war will most likely never end, because without it, companies contracted with defense entities cannot continue selling their weapons and producing new weapons, advanced drones, aircraft, bombs, and all types of weaponry.”

Taylor Greene stated: “Many wars are justified precisely with these considerations, using old ammunition so that the U.S. government can purchase new weapons that these companies produce.”

Greene expressed regret over the extensive influence of American defense industries and their lobbying groups on the functioning of Congress, saying that American defense industry lobbying groups and their financiers have enormous influence. “This is a huge business and pure evil,” she commented.

The Republican representative has consistently been one of the most prominent supporters and allies of U.S. President Donald Trump. She is considered a pivotal figure in the “Make America Great Again” movement. However, Trump recently severed ties with Taylor Greene due to her severe criticisms of U.S. military interventions abroad and Israel’s operations in the Gaza Strip.
