Report Alleges Israeli Information Cargo Sent to Somalia Under UN Cover

Sources cited by Al Mayadeen have reported that a 1,000-kilogram cargo of advanced communication and intelligence equipment was dispatched from Tel Aviv to Mogadishu on June 21, falsely registered under the name of the United Nations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing data published by Mehr News Agency, the Al Mayadeen network, quoting informed sources, reported that on June 21, a 1,000-kilogram shipment was sent from Tel Aviv via Nairobi to Mogadishu, falsely registered under the name of the United Nations office. The sources claim this cargo contained an advanced communication system with intelligence and military objectives. These sources also announced that the shipping company for this cargo was “Mir Security and Communications Company,” based in Or Yehuda, Israel. According to this claim, the United Nations office in Mogadishu received the aforementioned communication systems. The United Nations and Israeli officials have not yet responded to this report.
