Iran Showcases Resilience Amidst National Mourning Following Leader’s Assassination

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the French news agency reported on Monday that the elaborate funeral ceremonies for the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, provided an opportunity for Iran to showcase its resilience and endurance. This comes after five weeks of conflict with the United States and Israel, characterized by Iran’s legitimate defense against illegal American-Zionist aggression targeting Tehran.
The French agency acknowledged that the funeral procession for the martyred Khamenei was accompanied by an immense crowd of mourners in the capital.
Eyewitness accounts highlighted the deep sentiment among attendees. A 38-year-old man identified as Mir Emadi stated, “The killers of the martyred Khamenei must be punished.” A 39-year-old woman, Bakand, expressed, “We support our revolution and our leader and demand retribution for the blood of our loved ones.”
Mourners gathered in Imam Hossein Square in eastern Tehran, where a mockup of U.S. President Donald Trump was displayed, reflecting the public’s anger and defiance.
