Iran Downs U.S. MQ9 Drone Over Khormuj

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a U.S. MQ9 drone was downed by Iran‘s air defense systems in the skies over Khormuj, Bushehr Province, on Tuesday morning. Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, the Public Relations Officer and Spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that the drone was targeted and crashed after allegedly violating Iranian airspace.

The IRGC spokesman indicated that the drone was engaged by the air defense systems of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. A statement from the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters also addressed the alleged incursion by the U.S. military.
