China Urges US and Iran to Adhere to Agreement, De-escalate Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China is closely monitoring the latest developments in the Middle East (West Asia). The spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement asserting that the resumption of conflict benefits no party and that military means cannot resolve fundamental issues.
The statement emphasized that China urges the United States and Iran to adhere to the terms of their signed memorandum of understanding, resolve disputes through dialogue and negotiation, and abandon the use of force.
This comes after the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed to have completed a new round of offensive strikes against Iran on July 7. CENTCOM alleged that these actions were in direct response to recent Iranian attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, stating that precision-guided munitions struck over 80 targets.
