Martyred Imam Khamenei Never Submitted to US Arrogance, Says Sheikh Maher Hammoud
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, declared that the martyred Imam Khamenei never yielded to American arrogance and remained steadfast in his support for Palestine. Hammoud made these statements during a Hezbollah ceremony in Dahiyeh, Beirut, held to commemorate the martyred leader of the Islamic nation, which coincided with memorial events in Iran and Iraq.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sheikh Maher Hammoud emphasized the continuation of the resistance project against the arrogant powers. He asserted that the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei serves as historical testimony, predicting an imminent victory and the eventual destruction of the Zionist regime with the awakening of the Islamic nation.
Hammoud addressed what he described as a conspiracy promoted by some individuals, claiming that resistance has yielded nothing but bloodshed and destruction. He identified proponents of this narrative as aligning with the enemy and participating in the media war waged by the Zionist occupation regime.
The head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars also commented on Lebanon’s internal affairs, specifically criticizing a “shameful agreement” reportedly signed by the Lebanese government with the Zionist regime. He praised the stance of Walid Jumblatt, leader of Lebanon’s Druze community and former head of the Progressive Socialist Party, who deemed the agreement to be in the interests of the Zionist enemy and called for the Lebanese government to adopt a national position.
In parallel, Ahmad Qabalan, the Jaafari Mufti of Lebanon, stated during his speech at the same event that the farewell ceremony for the martyred leader of the Islamic nation was a historic regional occurrence.
Qabalan added that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers Lebanon among its absolute political priorities. He stressed that the current sensitive and precise phase requires careful selection of decisive stances and options. Qabalan affirmed Lebanon’s consistent path in safeguarding its sovereignty and interests, and adherence to the principles championed by the martyred Imam Khamenei.
