Iran’s IRGC Strikes US Bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in Retaliation
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced on July 8, 2026, that it has struck important infrastructure and facilities at U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain. The IRGC’s statement came in response to what it termed as the “child-killing army of the United States” violating its commitments and engaging in aggression.
The IRGC’s statement, quoting verses from the Quran, addressed the “noble people of Iran” and the “generous and jihadi people of Iraq,” commending their “insightful and unprecedented mourning ceremonies” that demonstrated the value of divine guardianship and the mutual love between the people and an Islamic ruler in the manner of Imam Ali (AS). It emphasized that any aggression against the Shia clergy and the system of Velayat-e Faqih would carry a heavy price.
The statement further alleged that the “treacherous America,” disregarding all commitments, carried out aggressions against several points in the southern coastal provinces of Iran and two bridges in eastern provinces towards Mashhad. The IRGC claimed these actions were an attempt to overshadow the recent massive mourning ceremonies in Iraq and to conceal this “inspiring event” from global public view. However, the IRGC asserted that these “crimes” would only awaken the world’s people and strengthen their resolve to confront the “Great Satan.”
The IRGC explicitly stated that its combatants would not leave the aggressions by the “child-killing army of the United States” unanswered.
In what it described as the “first phase of punitive response against the treacherous Americans,” the IRGC announced that its naval and aerospace forces conducted a joint missile and drone operation. Hours after the enemy’s alleged attacks on various points within Iran, the operation targeted and destroyed critical infrastructure and facilities at “two colonial bases of the American occupiers” located in Al-Arifjan and Ali Al-Salem in Kuwait, and in Jufair and Sheikh Isa in Bahrain.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a stern warning to the “child-killing army of the United States,” stating that if such aggressions are repeated, Iran’s “crushing responses” will be extended to other American bases in the region.
The statement concluded with a religious invocation: “And victory is only from God, the Almighty, the All-Wise.”
