Trump Claims US Will Charge for Strait of Hormuz Protection, Citing Iranian Setbacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News on Monday that the United States will take control of the Strait of Hormuz and demand payment from countries for its protection.
Trump claimed that Iran possesses nothing and that action should have been taken against it 47 years ago. He asserted that the U.S. is currently exerting control over the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. President also alleged that Iran has repeatedly violated agreements with Washington, stating, “They always break agreements. We will hit Iran very hard; we hit them hard last night.”
He further elaborated on the financial aspect, saying, “We used to protect the Strait of Hormuz for free, but now we will protect it and receive money for it. We will maintain the security of the strait and will likely manage it! We will become the guardians of the Strait of Hormuz, and perhaps even call ourselves the ‘guardian angels’ of this strait. We must receive payment for guarding the strait and be rewarded for this work. Countries cannot expect us to protect the Strait of Hormuz for free, as we have for many years. We will protect the Strait of Hormuz and, in return, receive payment. We simply want to recoup our costs and receive payment for risking our forces in this strait.” Trump also indicated that Iran is currently suffering heavy blows.
