Based on data published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, the ministry stated that in light of discussions and proposals concerning maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Muscat emphasizes its ongoing transparent and impartial engagement with all parties to ensure freedom of navigation is fully respected in line with international legal frameworks.
The statement from the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs further emphasized the Sultanate’s full adherence to its obligations as a member state of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. The ministry urged all parties to respect and uphold international law.
