Arab Nations Pursue Defense Partnerships with Pakistan Amid US Security Concerns

Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan are reportedly seeking defense cooperation with Pakistan, signaling a shift away from traditional security arrangements with the United States in response to regional security developments.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, recent security developments in the region, attributed to the provocative actions of the American-Zionist axis against the Islamic Republic of Iran, have prompted a concerted effort by Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Citing Reuters, several Arab nations, including Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, are said to be negotiating defense partnerships with Pakistan. These countries reportedly express apprehension following what they perceive as the inadequacy of American air defense systems against precise Iranian strikes. They are now looking to bolster their security by leveraging Pakistan’s military capabilities and defense industry to fill the void left by perceived Washington shortcomings.

This development follows a prior agreement where Saudi Arabia established a pact to deploy thousands of Pakistani military personnel, fighter jets, drones, and air defense systems on its territory.

Political observers interpret this strategic realignment as a clear indication of waning trust in traditional security alliances with Western powers and an implicit acknowledgment of the diminishing influence of American military dominance in the region. Consequently, these nations are compelled to seek alternative security arrangements.
