Former US Soldier Arrested in New York After Courthouse Incident

The individual, identified as Andrew Arabaca, is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation.

Officials stated that Arabaca was armed and intended to cause harm, carrying various weapons including a knife, hammer, cleaver, and a pellet gun. The incident prompted an emergency response, with reports of an explosion and skirmishes near a federal building in New York City.

The affected building was fully evacuated, and security forces were dispatched to the scene. The New York Police Department confirmed that access to the area surrounding the building was restricted.
