Washington Post Reveals Reason Behind Increased Iranian Strikes on Jordan

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Washington Post, a prominent American newspaper, has revealed that the intensification of Iranian attacks on U.S. military bases in Jordan over the past week was a direct consequence of a U.S. decision to deploy more aircraft to the nation. This information was reported citing U.S. officials.

The report detailed that the United States had opted to transfer additional aircraft to its military bases in Jordan amid rising regional tensions.

In parallel, a joint statement released by dozens of national, political, cultural, and tribal figures in Jordan underscored the imperative of preserving the country’s national sovereignty. They urged their government to nullify the security-military agreement with the United States and present it to parliament for revocation or restriction.

Signatories of the statement emphasized that the presence of foreign forces on Jordanian soil exposes the country to security, political, and economic risks, none of which offer any benefit to the Jordanian people.

The statement also cautioned that the deployment of foreign forces heightens the likelihood of Jordan being drawn into regional conflicts, despite the country not being a party to these disputes.
