US Seizes Over $13 Billion in Venezuelan Oil Revenue Amid Stagnant Economy

The United States has collected over $13 billion in Venezuelan oil revenues this year, yet economic indicators in Venezuela remain weak, raising questions about the allocation of seized funds and promised economic recovery.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Trump administration has collected more than $13 billion in Venezuelan oil revenues this year, the Financial Times reported. This comes six months after the United States reportedly seized Venezuelan oil revenues, with economic growth indicators in the South American nation remaining weak. The U.S. has presented conflicting narratives regarding the expenditure of these funds, with indications that not all the money has reached Caracas. The United States had claimed extensive media support that Venezuela’s economy would grow following its actions against the country and the alleged detention of its president.
