According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The United Nations Security Council has voiced its apprehension regarding the intensification of tensions in Yemen, calling on the involved parties to desist from actions that could jeopardize ongoing peace initiatives. The council’s statement, drawing from reports by Al Jazeera, highlighted the need for de-escalation and a commitment to diplomatic solutions.

In its pronouncements, the Security Council condemned missile strikes launched by Yemen’s Ansarullah forces targeting Saudi Arabia and commercial shipping. Notably, this condemnation was issued without explicit reference to the prolonged blockade of Yemen by the Saudi-led coalition. The council also denounced the landing of aircraft without authorization from Yemen’s recognized government at the airports of Sana’a and Hodeidah during July.
