Spain Imposes Entry Restrictions on Travelers from Italy

Spain announced it will implement restrictions on travelers arriving from Italy in retaliation for Rome’s decision to suspend the Schengen Agreement, according to reports.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Spain‘s Ministry of Interior has announced that it will impose restrictions on the country’s borders for travelers entering from Italy, citing the principle of reciprocity. The Spanish government also stated that in response to Italy’s decision to suspend the Schengen Agreement between the two nations, controls will be implemented on flights and ships arriving from Italy.
Spanish officials did not provide further details regarding the nature or duration of these restrictions. Previously, Italian authorities had suspended the Schengen Agreement with the Madrid government in response to the arrival of thousands of migrants from Morocco into Spain.
