The UKMTO stated that according to a third-party source, a bulk carrier sustained damage to its starboard side and one crew member was injured after being hit by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz. No environmental consequences have been reported, and officials are actively investigating the incident.

Vessels are advised to proceed with caution and report any suspicious activity to the UKMTO.
