Global Oil Prices Surge Over 2% Following U.S. Attack on Iran’s Larak Island

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, following the United States’ military aggression on Iran’s Larak Island, global oil prices have once again increased by more than 2%, surpassing $90 per barrel. This development was reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Reuters.

Brent crude oil prices rose by $2.22, or 2.52%, to reach $90.32 per barrel. Similarly, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices saw an increase of $2.01, or 2.41%, with each barrel trading at $85.41.

The Public Relations department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on Sunday evening, declaring that the “American-Zionist enemy, once again based on its desperation in solving internal problems and its declining credibility among regional nations, sought to revive its malevolent role and justify public opinion. In an act of aggression, it attacked Larak Island, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of a number of our combatants and compatriots.”

The statement further added that “this action will be met with a response from the children of Islamic Iran, and will lead to the punishment of the aggressor.”

Subsequently, the Public Relations department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in another statement that “the technical and repair infrastructure, as well as the deployment sites for enemy fighter jets at two American air bases, King Hussein and Al-Azraq, were crushed.”
