Saudi Defense Minister Arrives in Istanbul for Trilateral Strategic Meeting

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabian Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, arrived in Istanbul today to chair the Saudi delegation participating in the first meeting of the political and defense strategic committee under the trilateral agreement between Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.

The meeting is attended by the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, heads of defense forces, chiefs of general staff, and senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey.

Previously, a source within the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that senior officials from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan would convene in Istanbul on Monday for the first meeting of the committee related to the framework of the joint defense agreement signed earlier this month.

The source added that the foreign ministers, defense ministers, and chiefs of general staff from the three countries would be present at this session.

It was explained that international security issues are on the agenda for this session, with discussions expected to focus on enhancing defense capabilities, increasing cooperation and coordination among the armed forces, and strengthening collaboration in the defense industry sector, including joint production and development.
