According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a commercial oil tanker sustained damage during its passage through the Strait of Hormuz, as reported by the UK’s Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) on Monday. The incident occurred approximately 30 kilometers east of the Omani city of Khosab, with the vessel reportedly being hit by three “unidentified projectiles.” No casualties or injuries have been reported from the ship thus far. Iran has consistently stated that the passage of oil tankers and commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is contingent upon security arrangements issued by Iran, and that navigating insecure areas could lead to consequences for ships.
