ICC to Examine German Complicity in Gaza Genocide Allegations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague is examining Nicaragua’s complaint against Germany concerning Berlin’s alleged support for the Israeli regime in committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Nicaragua has asserted that Germany, by exporting weapons to the Israeli regime, has violated the Genocide Convention and international laws, as these weapons are reportedly used in attacks against Palestinians.

Germany, in response, has claimed these accusations are baseless and illegal and has objected to the complaint filed by Nicaragua.

In 2024, The Hague rejected Nicaragua’s urgent request to compel Germany to halt weapons exports to the Israeli regime. However, the court did not close the case, and judicial proceedings are ongoing.

The court sessions are scheduled to take place over four days, with no final deadline set for a ruling.

This case is separate from South Africa’s complaint against the Israeli regime.
