Putin Departs for India to Attend BRICS Summit

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will depart for India on Thursday evening to attend the BRICS summit. The summit is scheduled to take place on September 12 and 13 in New Delhi.

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the Russian President’s administration, stated that Putin will engage in a series of bilateral meetings and multilateral sessions during his trip. He added that many BRICS member nations are facing illegal pressures and restrictions from third countries. In this context, the agenda for the summit will include the creation of mechanisms for mutual settlements, economic cooperation, and the establishment of joint investment platforms.

Earlier, Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, had announced that Putin would hold meetings and discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the summit.
