Russia to Increase Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant Specialists to 150

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, plans to significantly increase the number of its specialists at Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. Alexey Likhachev, the CEO of Rosatom, announced that 47 specialists have already returned to the facility, and the company intends to raise this number to 150.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, Likhachev stated, “Currently, their number is 47 specialists, and our goal is to reach 150.”

Likhachev also disclosed that the “Dniprovska” power transmission line, which leads to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, has been repaired by Russia. However, its recommissioning is contingent upon the supply of electricity from the section controlled by Kyiv, and no decision has been made in this regard thus far.

“Rosatom has repeatedly informed the International Atomic Energy Agency about the repair of this line from the Russian side, and the only remaining action is to energize it by the other party,” Likhachev added.
