Iraqi Prime Minister: Baghdad Will Not Be Launchpad for Attacks on Neighbors

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, stated that Iraq will not permit its territory to become a theater for external conflicts or a launchpad for attacks on neighboring nations. These remarks were delivered during an address to graduates of the senior officers’ course and students of the Iraqi Security and Administrative Development Institute.

The Prime Minister further asserted that sabotage efforts aimed at disrupting Iraq’s security will falter in the face of national unity and the steadfast support of the people for the government and armed forces. He underscored his administration’s dedication to bolstering and developing security institutions, noting that the strength of these bodies will thwart adversaries seeking to undermine national security and erode Iraq’s capabilities.

Al Sudani reiterated his commitment to pursuing Iraq’s decision-making independence, strengthening governmental authority, reforming the economy, and combating corruption. He added that safeguarding the rights of Iraqi citizens and upholding constitutional guarantees are paramount to achieving these national objectives.

Concluding his address, Al Sudani affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting and advancing security institutions, emphasizing that professionalism within these entities is key to building trust between citizens and state bodies.
