US Seeks Seizure of $61 Million in Iranian Oil Revenue
The United States Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit to seize approximately $61 million in Iranian oil revenues, alleging the funds are linked to illicit financial activities and sanctions evasion.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Department of Justice has claimed that Iran utilized a network involved in digital currencies in China to launder $1.5 billion of its oil revenue. The ministry further announced that it has submitted a petition for the confiscation of $61 million derived from the sale of Iranian oil, which is subject to sanctions.
