Ansarullah Spokesperson Warns Saudi Arabia Military Option Guarantees Failure
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohamed Abdel Salam, spokesperson for Yemen‘s Ansarullah movement and head of the peace negotiating delegation, announced that the Saudi regime is continuing its aggressive airstrikes on Yemen, conducting over 350 attacks in just a few days. These strikes have targeted public and private property, leading to civilian casualties.
Abdel Salam added that they hold the Saudi regime responsible for the continuous violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and the targeting of civilians and their property. He asserted that this escalation of aggressive military action against Yemen will not achieve any of the Saudi regime’s goals; instead, it will complicate the situation. The Saudi regime has previously tested the military option and achieved nothing but defeat. A return to this failed approach demonstrates a predatory mentality that does not believe in dialogue or peace.
Regarding the outcomes of the recent operation on the west coast, Abdel Salam stated that the situation has fortunately returned to normal, with governmental institutions resuming their duties in serving the people. He noted the absence of any retaliatory actions, which he attributed to the Yemeni army’s ethical and humanitarian commitment. In contrast, he accused Saudi Arabia of continuing its approach of blackmail and intimidation of the world under the pretext of threatening international shipping in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb. He alleged that Saudi Arabia is inciting the world to action with false and baseless claims to draw certain international parties into its futile adventures in Yemen and repeat past mistakes that have led to clear and absolute failure.
He further stated that it is shameful for the Saudi regime to resort to such a wave of fabrications. He expressed doubt that it would be in the interest of international parties to jeopardize their interests based on the lies of the Saudi regime, lies that have persisted for twelve years and continue to be told, to the point where no one believes them anymore.
