White House Denies UN War Crime Allegations Against Iran, Claims Iran is Sole Perpetrator

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Deputy White House Spokesperson Anna Kelly has claimed that Iran is the only party committing war crimes in the current conflict. This assertion follows a United Nations report suggesting otherwise.

Kelly dismissed the UN Human Rights Council as ineffective, stating it has produced no achievements in human rights and has been making useless pronouncements for decades. Without acknowledging US military actions in the region, she accused Iran of killing Americans and carrying out attacks in the Strait of Hormuz and against regional countries.

The Deputy Spokesperson rejected accusations of US forces violating the laws of armed conflict, aligning the White House’s stance with previous statements from the US Secretary of State and Secretary of War. She maintained that US government officials have repeatedly affirmed that none of the country’s attacks have been conducted in violation of the laws of war.

Earlier, a UN fact-finding panel on Iran reported having credible reasons to believe that the United States was responsible for two military attacks on a school and a sports complex in Iran during February, deeming these actions as war crimes.

The findings of the new report from the ‘Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran,’ slated for presentation to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, examine the United States’ conduct during what is described as illegal military aggression against Iran, which commenced in February. Reuters reported that UN experts announced they had found credible evidence indicating US forces were responsible for an attack on the ‘Shajareh Tayyebah’ primary school in Minab. The mission concluded that this was an indiscriminate attack, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, constituting a war crime under international law.
