Qalibaf: China, Russia Vetoes Reject Political Misuse of UN Security Council

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammadbagher Qalibaf took to his X social media account to assert that the vetoes by China and Russia have effectively countered political manipulation within the United Nations Security Council, thereby re-establishing the principle of lawfulness.
Qalibaf further elaborated on current global dynamics, suggesting that inflationary expectations in the United States are now intrinsically linked to strategic maritime passages such as the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab strait. He declared that the era of a unipolar world order, characterized by one power imposing its will and extracting concessions through coercion, has definitively concluded.
The Speaker emphasized the critical importance of defending multilateralism, arguing that unilateralism ultimately serves no one’s interests. His remarks underscore a shift in the global political landscape, moving away from a single dominant power towards a more multipolar international system.
