Iraqi Political Activist Cites Three Reasons for Saudi Arabia’s Failure in Yemen War

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi political activist Adnan Al-Tamimi has stated that Saudi Arabia has failed to realize its desired goals in Yemen, notwithstanding its considerable military power. This assertion comes from data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Maalomah.

Al-Tamimi emphasized that Saudi Arabia has not hesitated to commit atrocities against civilians and has conducted extensive aerial and artillery bombardments against Yemen, with the support of internal mercenaries. He further elaborated that Saudi Arabia’s defeat in the Yemen conflict stems from three primary reasons.

The first reason cited is the unwavering resistance of the Yemeni people and their conviction in the legitimacy of their cause. The second factor is Yemen’s reliance on domestic production in the realm of military and defense industries. The third crucial element is the Yemeni forces’ initiative and creativity on the battlefield.

Public support for the Houthi movement in Yemen, also known as Ansar Allah, is identified as one of the most significant determinants in the war, bolstering the forces’ capacity to continue their struggle. Al-Tamimi suggests that Saudi Arabia finds itself in a difficult position and is seeking to extricate itself from the conflict by enlisting the aid of both Arab and non-Arab nations. However, he concludes that entry into the war with Yemen signifies a predetermined defeat.
