LPG Tanker Suffers Impact from Unknown Projectiles in Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced on Monday that it had received a report of an incident involving a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

A statement issued by the UKMTO indicated that a report was received with a delay concerning an incident involving an LPG tanker navigating the Strait of Hormuz. The ship’s captain reported that the LPG tanker was struck by fragments of unknown projectiles.

The UKMTO further added that the captain confirmed all crew members were safe and reported no environmental impact. The tanker is continuing its voyage to its next port of call.

Authorities are currently investigating the matter. Vessels are advised to proceed with caution and report any suspicious activity to the UKMTO.
