Iraqi Government Declares End of International Coalition Mission

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Baghdad has declared the mission of the international coalition in Iraq concluded, with coordination channels remaining open, Al Jazeera reported.

Haider Al-Aboudi, spokesperson for the Iraqi government, stated that Iraqi institutions are prepared to assume security responsibilities. He emphasized that Iraq is focused on internal stability and that the day marks a significant assertion of the country’s sovereignty.

Al-Aboudi further announced that agreements have been reached with armed groups regarding their integration, with progress being made in this regard. He affirmed Iraq’s commitment to distancing itself from ongoing regional conflicts and tensions.

The government spokesperson also highlighted that Iraq is pursuing the development of its capabilities and the enhancement of its defense potential. He added that the Iraqi government is working in cooperation with neighboring countries to control and secure Iraq’s borders.

Al-Aboudi reiterated Iraq’s adherence to the principle of good neighborliness and its opposition to using its territory as a base for any acts of aggression.
