Russia Claims European Nations Directly Involved in Ukraine Conflict
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on Wednesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s remarks at the UN General Assembly regarding peace are hollow, suggesting he is seeking an opportunity to regroup, compensate for losses, and then escalate the conflict.
Zakharova further elaborated that Kyiv’s attempts to keep the issue of Crimea on the agenda through the Crimea Platform framework demonstrate a lack of desire for peace and the regime’s inclination towards confrontation.
She added that any foreign military unit on Ukrainian territory would be considered a legitimate military target for Russia. Ukraine has become a transit point for military equipment, and weapons could potentially fall into the hands of saboteurs in European countries. Western nations, by examining the issue of Ukrainian depots in Moldova, are systematically turning Chisinau into a transit base for supplying Kyiv with armaments.
Zakharova also mentioned that President Putin is preparing for the APEC summit and may hold discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the event. She noted that the German Foreign Minister, during a meeting with [Sergey] Lavrov, chose to present a series of accusations against Russia instead of engaging in a dialogue.
Zakharova stated that arms production facilities for Ukraine in European countries are considered potential military targets by Russia. She asserted that European countries are directly and fully involved in the Ukraine conflict, which makes achieving a resolution more difficult. Moscow values mediation efforts aimed at helping to resolve the Ukraine crisis. If a trilateral meeting involving Russia, Ukraine, and the United States is being considered and coordinated, information will be provided.
