Netanyahu Claims Flydubai Pilot Attempted to Down Aircraft

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik and Mehr News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed on Wednesday that a serious security incident took place on a Flydubai flight en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Netanyahu asserted that nearly all passengers on board were Israeli.

Netanyahu stated that as the aircraft approached Tel Aviv, one of the pilots reportedly attacked the other and inflicted a stab wound. According to the prime minister, the assailant pilot apparently attempted to disrupt the aircraft’s systems and intentionally cause it to crash.

He added that an Israeli passenger, along with a crew member, entered the cockpit and managed to subdue the attacker. The aircraft subsequently diverted its course and landed safely in Saudi Arabia, where Saudi authorities are currently investigating and interrogating the individual responsible for the assault.

Netanyahu also announced that Israeli authorities are in communication with Saudi Arabia to facilitate the return of the flight’s passengers.
