Trump Claims Final US Troops Departing Iraq, Cites ‘Decisive Victory’ Over ISIS
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, President Donald Trump claimed on Wednesday that the final American forces are departing Iraq.
The U.S. President asserted that the U.S. is leaving Iraq with an “extraordinary” prime minister in place. He stated that the withdrawal of coalition forces and equipment from Erbil Air Base marks the end of a military presence that began years ago. Trump recounted facing a dilemma of whether to stay in or leave Iraq, ultimately deciding it was time for Americans to return home.
He reiterated his self-praise, claiming he set a clear mission, provided the necessary tools for commanders, and prevented a temporary presence from becoming permanent. Trump declared, “Today is a great day for America, a victory for the United States and Iraq, and a decisive victory over ISIS!” He contrasted the Iraq withdrawal with the process in Afghanistan, stating the troop and equipment withdrawal from Erbil is proceeding in an organized manner.
However, Iraqi media circles report that while the United States appears to be withdrawing equipment from Iraq, it is allegedly pursuing its “sinister missions” in the country through other methods.
Furthermore, the claim of an American victory over Western-Zionist-Arab-manufactured terrorists comes at a time when Trump himself, during the 2016 presidential election campaign, accused the Democratic administration of being responsible for the creation of these terrorists, revealing this reality.
