Ansarullah Official Warns of Imminent Riyadh Attacks Following Saudi Strikes on Sana’a

A political bureau member of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has announced impending attacks on Riyadh in retaliation for Saudi airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, as reports indicate a large fire at a Saudi Aramco facility in Riyadh.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Ahed, Hizam Al-Assad, a member of the political bureau of Yemen‘s Ansarullah movement, announced imminent attacks on Riyadh. Following heavy bombing of Sana’a by Saudi fighter jets, Hizam Al-Assad stated that a ‘capital for capital’ equation would be implemented, with attacks planned for the Saudi capital. He added, “One whose capital is oil does not ignite fires in the capital of others.” This comes as Saudi fighter jets bombed Sana’a, the Yemeni capital, multiple times over the past few hours. Earlier, Reuters, citing eyewitnesses, reported that a large plume of smoke and flames was seen rising near one of the facilities of the Saudi Aramco company in Riyadh. Satellite images and videos circulated on social media and regional media indicate a fire and thick smoke billowing from the grounds of the Saudi Aramco facilities in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
