Trump Authorizes Use of Red Diesel to Mitigate Fuel Price Hikes

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order allowing U.S. citizens to use red diesel, a tax-exempt fuel typically used for agricultural machinery, as fuel prices surge.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a recent executive order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump permits all American citizens to utilize red diesel, a fuel that is exempt from taxes and generally used for agricultural machinery. This decision comes amid a significant increase in fuel prices, particularly for diesel, which has been attributed to actions against Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, occurring just weeks before the U.S. midterm elections.
Previously, the use of red diesel was restricted to off-road applications, and its purchase was tax-exempt. Diesel prices in the United States have surpassed an unprecedented $6 per gallon in recent weeks.
