Hamas Declares Al-Aqsa Mosque the Compass of Resistance and Heart of Conflict with Israeli Regime
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has announced that occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque continue to be the main focus of confrontation with the Israeli regime and the guiding force for Palestinian resistance. This statement was made concurrently with the third anniversary of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation.
Hamas stated that the “Al-Aqsa Flood” on October 7, 2023, marked a significant turning point in the history of the confrontation with the occupying regime, reaffirming the pivotal role of occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in the ongoing engagement with the Israeli regime.
The movement emphasized that on October 7, Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque formed the foundation for a flood named “Al-Aqsa,” a name that clearly signifies the central importance of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque and their prominent presence in the conflict equation with the occupying regime.
Hamas asserted that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people’s memory and conscience, connecting the past, present, and future. It is a holy city from which the compass of Palestinian resistance has never deviated, serving as the qibla towards which resistance weapons are aimed for its liberation from occupation.
The movement further underscored that Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque have consistently been primary focal points in the political discourse of Hamas and a major catalyst for the successive uprisings and intifadas of the Palestinian people against the occupying regime.
On the third anniversary of the “Al-Aqsa Flood,” Hamas once again stressed that Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque remain at the core of the resistance and confrontation equation with the Israeli regime.
