US Treasury Secretary Details Plans to Seize $1 Billion in Digital Assets Against Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, continuing the nation’s adversarial stance against Iran, has asserted that the United States plans to seize nearly $1 billion in digital assets. This move is presented as a component of broader initiatives to economically isolate Iran.
Bessent stated that the economic isolation campaign is designed to limit Iran’s access to financial resources. He further indicated that the U.S. will leverage its full capabilities to target individuals and companies assisting Iran in selling oil and circumventing sanctions.
The Treasury Secretary claimed that Iran’s oil revenues are utilized to fund military and regional activities, and Washington is committed to restricting Tehran’s access to these earnings. The United States faces considerable criticism concerning the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and rising fuel prices.
