Poland Arrests Man Plotting Attack on Prime Minister and Defense Minister

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Poland has reported the apprehension of a man who had been orchestrating an attack targeting the country’s Prime Minister and Defense Minister. This news emerges as media outlets previously indicated that Polish authorities convened an emergency meeting and raised their readiness levels upon receiving intelligence about a potential assassination plot against Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak.
The meeting was scheduled to take place at 11 AM Central European Time at the Counter-Terrorism Center of the Internal Security Agency of Poland. In response to the intelligence, Marcin Kierwiński, the Minister of the Interior, and Tomasz Siemoniak, the Coordinator of Special Services, also issued directives for police investigations.
These developments occur while Poland remains on heightened security alert following several violent incidents in schools, including an attack on Thursday that resulted in the death of a school staff member.
