Poland Schedules Emergency Security Meeting Amid Potential Threats to Prime Minister and Defense Minister

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Polish authorities have planned an emergency security meeting for Sunday after receiving information about a potential attack targeting the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister. Karolina Gałecka, spokesperson for Poland‘s Ministry of Interior, announced the meeting, which was slated for 11 AM Central European Time at the Internal Security Agency’s Counter-Terrorism Center.
In response to the intelligence, Marcin Kierwiński, the Minister of Interior, and Tomasz Siemoniak, Coordinator of Special Services, have both ordered police investigations to be launched. This move signifies the seriousness with which the Polish government is treating the potential threats.
These developments occur as Poland remains on a heightened security footing. The nation has been experiencing heightened alerts following several violent incidents in schools, including an attack on Thursday that resulted in the death of a school employee. The cumulative effect of these events has led to a general state of increased security preparedness across the country.
