European Nations Warn of Saudi Airspace Insecurity Following Yemeni Attacks

European countries have issued warnings to airlines regarding the insecurity of Saudi Arabian airspace, following Yemeni armed forces’ attacks on Riyadh airport which led to flight diversions and cancellations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Wall Street Journal reported that following attacks by Yemeni armed forces on Riyadh airport, airlines were compelled to divert dozens of aircraft, resulting in the cancellation of over one thousand flights.

France, Canada, and Germany have cautioned airlines about the risks of flying over Saudi Arabia and extensive areas of its airspace. Reports indicate that Saudi authorities have ordered the closure of several additional airports in response to the escalating attacks.

Concurrently, aviation safety consultancy firm Ops Group has advised airlines to avoid flying at any altitude within Saudi Arabian airspace due to security concerns.
