Saudi Aramco Warns of Dangerous Consequences if Strait of Hormuz Remains Closed

Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser has cautioned that remaining commercial crude oil reserves on land have fallen below 6 billion barrels, representing the last line of defense, and warned of intensified pressure on the energy supply chain if the Strait of Hormuz remains inaccessible.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser announced that commercial crude oil reserves on land have decreased to less than 6 billion barrels, describing this as the last available line of defense. Nasser added that a significant portion of these reserves is inaccessible, and pressure on the energy supply chain will escalate until the Strait of Hormuz is reopened and trust is re-established.

Nasser further stated that the sharp and continuous rise in energy prices exacerbates the challenges within the energy market. He emphasized that the persistent pressure on crude oil transportation lines globally is a dangerous issue.

It is noteworthy that the significant global increase in energy prices and disruptions to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz have occurred due to actions by the United States against Iran.
