US and Europe Draft Four-Point Proposal to Resolve Ukraine Conflict

Sources reveal that the United States and Europe are developing a joint proposal with four main points aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine, focusing on the economic and security interests of both Kyiv and Moscow.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data published by Mehr News Agency, citing TASS, indicates that David Ignatius, a columnist for The Washington Post, has reported that the United States and Europe are formulating a joint proposal for the resolution of the war in Ukraine, based on information from informed sources.

The proposed plan features four primary pillars, intending to use the economic and security interests of Ukraine and Russia as a foundation for reaching an agreement on territorial issues.

The first pillar of this proposal centers on the reconstruction of Ukraine, with negotiators requesting Kyiv to provide precise estimates for the rebuilding costs.

Security guarantees for both Ukraine and Russia constitute the second pillar. However, the specific security arrangements to be considered for Moscow remain unclear at this stage.

The third pillar involves the economic integration of Russia, Ukraine, and Europe through an energy agreement. One proposition being discussed includes the construction or utilization of a pipeline for Russian oil and gas transport to Europe, with revenue sharing between Russia and Ukraine. This plan would also delineate Russia’s long-term access to the European energy market and establish a timeline for the lifting of economic sanctions.

The establishment of a ceasefire along the current front lines is the fourth pillar of this initiative.

The Washington Post reported that diplomatic efforts to advance this proposal have intensified following a recent meeting between American, European, and Ukrainian negotiators in the state of Florida.
