Emir of Qatar Demands Accountability for Gaza Genocide

The Emir of Qatar has called for those responsible for the ongoing genocide in Gaza to be held accountable, emphasizing the need to prevent perpetrators from escaping justice.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stated on Tuesday during the opening ceremony of the 55th session of the Shura Council in Doha that the events in the Gaza Strip constitute genocide and that its perpetrators must not be allowed to evade accountability.

Sheikh Tamim highlighted Qatar’s mediation efforts aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza. He affirmed Doha’s commitment to continued cooperation with regional and international partners to maintain stability and security in the region.

Palestinian officials report that Israeli attacks since October 2023 have resulted in over 74,000 martyrs and 175,000 injured. Approximately 90 percent of Gaza’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.

Despite a ceasefire implemented on October 10, 2025, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported the deaths of 1,493 Palestinians and the injury of 5,299 others during this period. The severe restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid have further exacerbated the living conditions for the approximately 2.4 million Palestinians residing in Gaza.
