Russia Predicts West’s Support for Ukraine Could Halt

A senior Russian official has predicted that Western support for Ukraine may falter, potentially leading to a complete cessation of foreign aid if the United States reduces its involvement. The forecast suggests a domino effect where European nations might follow suit, impacting military and financial assistance to Kyiv.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of Russia, has forecast that a reduction in American support for Ukraine could lead to European countries gradually withdrawing their military backing for Kyiv. Dzhabarov criticized the performance of the Ukrainian government, stating that Kyiv is reliant on foreign aid and this situation cannot continue indefinitely. The Russian senator added that European nations will progressively decrease their support for Kyiv, and if the European Union concludes that the United States intends to distance itself from the Ukraine conflict, the supply of weaponry to the country may also cease. He further stated that a decrease in Washington’s support could weaken the resolve of European countries to continue military assistance to Ukraine, paving the way for the termination of these supports.
