Yemen’s Houthi Leader Vows Increased Support for Palestine

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen‘s Ansarullah movement, has announced an increase in the group’s support for Palestine in the future. In a letter addressed to the late Yahya Sinwar, the former head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), written a month prior to Sinwar’s martyrdom and recently released, al-Houthi lauded the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation as a significant success. He stated that the operation was executed at the highest level of planning, organization, and implementation, with divine support evident throughout. Al-Houthi highlighted the crucial role of Hamas and its military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, in raising the banner of Islamic jihad against the adversaries of Muslims. He underscored the collective responsibility of all Muslims regarding the sacred sites, the liberation of Palestine, the salvation of its people, and countering the Zionist threat. “We in Yemen will spare no effort, act with all our capabilities, and strive for greater participation in this sacred battle,” al-Houthi declared. Regarding Yemen’s military capabilities, he affirmed that the missile force is actively developing new rockets to meet the demands of the ongoing conflict, with the aim of achieving the capacity for the fifth phase of operations, targeting enemy positions deep within occupied territories, including Jaffa. Naval operations in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, Bab el-Mandeb, and the Arabian Sea have reportedly achieved considerable success, and efforts are underway to expand these operations into the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Addressing the U.S. military actions against Yemen, al-Houthi noted that Washington conducted over 700 aggressive airstrikes in an attempt to pressure Yemen into halting its naval operations, but these efforts ultimately failed. He reiterated Yemen’s steadfast stance based on religious, humanitarian, and fraternal principles, asserting that this support will only strengthen, and that coordination with supporting fronts will be enhanced. Al-Houthi concluded by emphasizing that Yemen’s position is independent of any political, military, or economic pressure from adversaries and will not be affected by such threats.
