Iran, Russia, China, North Korea Form Strategic Bloc Against US Pressure, Report States

A growing alliance between Iran, Russia, China, and North Korea poses a significant strategic threat to the United States, evolving from shared interests to an integrated network of military, technological, intelligence, and economic support that can withstand Western pressure, according to Foreign Affairs.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a recent article published in Foreign Affairs has detailed the increasing strategic cooperation between Iran, Russia, China, and North Korea, highlighting it as a substantial threat to the United States. The report indicates that these collaborations have transcended mere exchanges of mutual interests, solidifying into an integrated network providing military, technological, intelligence, and economic support capable of resisting pressures from the U.S. and Western nations across various fronts.

The article points to intelligence support from Russia and China to Iran during its conflicts with the U.S., evidenced by satellite imagery, as a demonstration of how these nations can influence outcomes without direct military involvement. This pattern is also observable in the Russia-Ukraine war, with North Korea providing assistance to Moscow, complemented by China’s economic and technological aid, including oil purchases and the supply of industrial and electronic equipment.

The report emphasizes that this collaboration has evolved from bilateral exchanges related to the Ukraine conflict into a unified network for sharing experiences and technologies between different theaters of conflict. North Korea, in turn, is leveraging Russia’s expertise in military production and operational methods.

Furthermore, these four nations are posited to utilize this network to mitigate the consequences of sanctions and military pressures imposed by the U.S. and the West. Foreign Affairs suggests that any American efforts to improve relations with Russia or moderate its stance on North Korea are unlikely to dismantle this alliance, as the underlying reasons for their cooperation are deeply rooted. In contrast, the U.S., despite its vast financial and military resources, faces a weakening global position due to policies implemented during the Trump administration. Examples cited include trade tensions with China and Taiwan, its relationship with South Korea, pressure on Ukraine, and threats to long-standing allies.
