Hamas Denounces Escalating Gaza Attacks, Cites Breach of Ceasefire

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement of Palestine (Hamas) issued a statement asserting that the daily attacks and killings of civilians in the Gaza Strip demonstrate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet’s insistence on continuing aggression and undermining ceasefire agreements. Hamas highlighted the Israeli army’s assaults on unarmed civilians in residential neighborhoods and refugee camps, which have resulted in daily Palestinian casualties, particularly among children.
The movement described these actions as a clear and repeated violation of the ceasefire agreement and a disregard for the efforts of mediators and supporting nations. Hamas emphasized that the intensified attacks reflect the Netanyahu government’s determination to persist in its aggression, leaving Palestinians exposed to killing and danger. Furthermore, Hamas warned that the escalating siege and prevention of essential goods entering Gaza are exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
Hamas stated that the reduction of aid amidst increasing humanitarian needs intensifies the suffering of displaced families and raises the risk of widespread food insecurity. The movement underscored that these crimes and their humanitarian consequences place mediators and guarantor states of the ceasefire agreement before their political and humanitarian responsibilities. Hamas urged them to take serious action to compel the occupation forces to halt their attacks and adhere to the ceasefire, ensure the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid and essential goods, and work towards lifting the imposed siege on the Palestinian people.
The group also called on the United Nations and international humanitarian organizations to continue and expand their response to the needs of Gaza’s population, resist pressure and policies from the occupation, and act swiftly to address the catastrophic consequences of the war. These statements come as today’s attacks by Israeli military forces on the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, including two children, and injured over 20 others.
