Russia Condemns U.S. Arrest Warrant for Raul Castro

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the issuance of an arrest warrant for Raul Castro, the former president of Cuba, by the United States. Mehr News Agency reported this, citing APA.
The ministry stated in a release that baseless and fabricated accusations leveled more than 30 years later are nothing more than a vengeful act by the anti-Cuba lobby in Miami and an attempt to settle scores with Castro, who turned 95 in June.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also warned that escalating tensions against Cuba, which is already facing difficulties due to U.S. sanctions, could lead to social unrest and mass emigration of Cuban citizens to regional countries, potentially causing crises in those nations.
Raul Castro has been accused of spurious charges including four counts of murder, the destruction of two aircraft, and conspiracy to murder American citizens.
