Russia Expands Industrial Robotics Network with 13 New Centers

Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with Innopolis University, has selected 13 new centers to bolster the development of industrial robotics across the nation, expanding the federal network from 8 to 21 centers.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia is set to significantly enhance its industrial robotics capabilities with the establishment of 13 new development centers. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Innopolis University, follows a nationwide competition to identify promising organizations and educational institutions.

A total of 48 organizations, including technical universities and associations from seven federal districts and 24 cities, vied for the opportunity to host these new hubs. Participants submitted detailed proposals outlining their plans for the centers, including operational programs, financial strategies, descriptions of robotic solutions under development, information on human resources and existing infrastructure, and a list of potential strategic partners.

Each of the 13 selected entities will receive funding over a three-year period. This financial support is earmarked for the development and commercialization of technological solutions, the implementation of robotic cells and systems in industrial facilities, and the training of specialized personnel. The expansion will increase Russia’s federal network for industrial robotics development from the current 8 centers to a total of 21.
