Four Muslim Nations: Israeli Occupation Fuels Regional Instability, Urge Diplomatic Solutions

Foreign ministers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan convened in Istanbul, emphasizing that the Israeli occupation is the primary source of regional instability and urging diplomatic resolutions to all disputes.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, participants in a joint meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan in Istanbul stressed the necessity of resolving all regional conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.

The attendees called for preventing attacks on civilian infrastructure and shipping, underscoring the importance of maritime security along vital routes. The foreign ministers of the four nations highlighted the strategic significance of the Strait of Hormuz, urging its swift reopening to ensure unimpeded and secure passage for vessels.

They warned that any disruption to this route would destabilize global supply chains and energy security, adversely affecting vulnerable populations in the region. The joint statement unequivocally described the Israeli occupation as the principal origin of instability within the region and beyond.

The foreign ministers expressed support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state based on the 1967 borders, calling for an immediate halt to settlement expansion and ongoing violence in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Participants also addressed the tensions in the Red Sea, emphasizing the need to cease military actions and threats against commercial shipping, and insisted on returning to a political process to establish lasting peace in the region.
